During the residency, various events were held to get in direct contact with the local community, providing an insight into the creative process of the activities under construction. Through participatory workshops, informal gatherings and the sampling and contextualisation of the material being created, the participants were confronted with a world and a perspective that for many may have been unusual or even unknown. At the same time, on the artist’s side, the challenge arose of creating a context in which a target audience outside the artistic scene could access this type of creation, thus implying a critical stance towards my own work and an approach based on other social and cultural “codes”.

In short, the respective events, like many informal day-to-day meetings, contributed to an intimate and enriching relationship between myself and the Community.
